Motion Department was founded in 2018 by two friends with a shared obsession: telling honest stories through photography and motion. What started in a tiny Belleville apartment has grown into a tight-knit collective of directors, photographers, editors and colorists.

We work slow on purpose. Each project starts with a conversation, a moodboard, and a clear point of view — because the best images come from actually understanding what's worth photographing.
